Mark, originally from Geneva, Switzerland, has dedicated his career to environmental and sustainable development. He worked with the UN and WWF, spent fourteen years at IUCN, and later founded the International Institute for Sustainable Development (Europe). Mark has been a Senior Advisor to the UNEP Inquiry, played a key role in establishing the Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) network, and is a Principal of the Finance for Biodiversity initiative (F4B). Currently, he chairs the board of TRAFFIC International and is involved in Sustainable Finance Geneva. Mark is also a co-founder of Better Nature, focusing on nature narrative development. He actively contributes to discussions on sustainable development through writing and lecturing, and he founded the Geneva 2030 Ecosystem for SDG implementation.
